Putting your health and well-being first
I am a passionate believer in putting our health and well-being first and I walk my talk: I eat reasonably healthily and do regular exercise. I am not that young anymore but people tell me all the time that I look very young for my age and that is because I now look after myself without being obsessed by it. Through my work, I seek to bring this to any of my clients who may be interested in exploring their own health and well-being, not in an onerous way but in a natural and holistic way. It is all about balance…balance of mind, body and spirit.
I find that until people get in touch with themselves and start taking responsibility for what they want, they lack the commitment to themselves that is necessary to achieve this balance. I believe that by my being committed to having the best and most healthy life I possibly can, I enjoy life more and I may well live longer as a result, though only time will tell if that is my destiny however! After all, if I don’t do it, who else is going to do it for me?
Most people tend to find excuses for not doing this and that is their prerogative. Some feel that they have to put others first, that it is somehow virtuous to sacrifice oneself for the interests of others but I say the opposite - we are only fit and able to look after others to the extent that we look after ourselves properly too (like the classic airline safety message where we are told first to take the oxygen mask ourselves before we try to give it to a dependent). It is a form of self-love and one that is the foundation on which good health and happiness can be build and one that is never to late to begin.
So, my philosophy in my work is to use my gifts in life to help others wanting to find a similar level of self-awareness to facilitate a commitment to good health and well-being for purposes of longevity and personal happiness and fulfilment. Through my various treatments, I give people a chance to connect with their bodies and learn to sense what is right for them (not to do what I tell them they should do). Choices in this area are very personal and I believe that no-one should tell us what to do but rather help us liberate our minds so that we can sense what is right for us individually and for ourselves. So, if this sounds interesting, just bear it in mind when you come to me for a treatment - I will be happy to explore this subject further with you over time if you wish.
